In the night I seek comfort in the dark
Crawling between abandoned dreams
That have no life or even a familiar spark
In silence I weep for all we've forgotten
It can't come back, we don't go back
Yet here I face another ghost of black
And when the sun rises, I start to fear
That I'll perish like yet another ember
For which no one will shed an honest tear
Without a trace, without a voice I'll ascend
And like a phoenix in obscure disguise
I'll escape from this forlorn demise
To the skies and furthermore I'll aim
As the light penetrates my soul
All its stolen pieces I'll reclaim
